Bubble Town Touch is a free clone of Bubble Bobble for Series 60 5th Edition phones, which will have you glued to your phone for hours.
According to the story, Borb Bay was once an idyllic place until a great big spaceship game down and lumps began taking over the Bay. Your mission in Bubble Town Touch is to save the bay from calamity by destroying the lumps. OK, so the story's a bit far-fetched but then so was the one in Bubble Bobble.
Playing Bubble Town Touch is a matter of firing creatures from your tube upwards in order to make a group of three or more matching creatures. Do this and the symbols will fall, along with any others underneath them. Be careful because once your tube is empty of creatures the game is over.
Bubble Town Touch is full of power-ups to keep the game interesting, and each level offers a different variation on the point-and-fire gameplay. Aiming and firing is done using the touchscreen and presents no real problems.
The graphics in Bubble Town Touch are a bit lackluster. It looks pretty blocky and there's not much of a range of characters.
Nevertheless, Bubble Town Touch is a fun game that will appeal to fans of Bubble Bobble.
